Remember, you are dealing with kids and not-so-small kids five days a week so patience is a virtue that you must possess.
Get a positive attitude. Always remember that you are dealing with those who wish or have to learn. They need as much motivation as they can get from you. If you can’t be positive for their sake, you will be bringing them down.
What distinguishes fantastic teachers from excellent ones is their sense of humor. Even if a teacher should know when all must turn serious, a timely sense of humor can ease the difficulty in the class and can make learning more fascinating.
Teachers also need to be creative. If you instruct your students in the same tedious manner everyday, you will surely lose their concentration. It may be right that it is their duty to listen to keep their grades up, but you should likewise aid them in any means that you can.
Being a teacher means you need to get your hands dirty and wrestle your way into your students’ life to help them grow and learn. It is far from having a glamour desk job. The instruction job is for you if you can fully commit emotionally.
