We have scheduled our first Lincoln County REGULATORS Cowboy Action Shoot for this coming Saturday, July 12. We will gather at the Ruidoso Gun Club Range at 9am for a New Shooters Clinic, break for lunch (bring it), and have a Cowboy Action Shoot in the afternoon. The cost for the day will be $5, which will go towards the target fund. Outfitted Cowboy Shooters will lend you their firearms. It would be good to reimburse them for ammunition. Special Categories will be arranged so that you can possibly shoot what you bring. SASS approved arms are single action pistols, pistol caliber lever rifles, and stagecoach style side-by-side double barrel shotguns or 1897 pump shotguns. Single Action Shooting Society rules will apply.
For those who paid all or part of dues at the organizational meeting: We have what you paid. Since Shooting has been impossible up to now we are holding your money. It will be returned at the shoot. Dues for the Ruidoso Gun Club will be $35 for the year of July ’08 to July ’09. Please pay at Fire Power Gun and Pawn on Sudderth in Ruidoso. There are no extra dues for the Lincoln County Regulators as we are an arm of the Ruidoso Gun Club.
The Ruidoso Gun Club Range is of Route 70 in Ruidoso Downs. Turn uphill on Half Lake Road, across from Conley’s Nursery. Go up the hill about half a mile. The Range will be on the right.
